My first prediction is that Curly is going to to start picking fights with George and Lennie because in the book Curly said to them "Let the big talk" and he is starting to pick on them (Steinbeck, pg 25). And that Curly will effect Lennie more because the old man says that "Curly like a lot of little guys, he hates big guys" that means that Curly will effect Lennie more than George since he doesn't like big guys(Steinbeck, pg 26). Also Lennie and George are going to get fired because they had recent problems in the past with their work, and if Lennie fights Curly, he would get away with because he is the bosses son and he said in the story that "Maybe they gang up on the big guy" and it makes Lennie look like a jerk since he is fighting with a little guy and they are going to have to leave again (Steinbeck, pg 27). I think that Curly's wife will be cheating on Curly with another worker because because the old man says in the book that "I seen her give Slim the eye, and I see her give Carlson the eye too" and that means that she will probably cheat on one of the guys and it will effect Curly very bad and get super mad (Steinbeck, pg 28). These are mainly negative influence because they are already getting in trouble on their first day of work and some people don't like them already. This is going to a negative toll in the book. I say the worst thing thing will happen is that Lennie and Curly will fight because that would mean that they have to escape again and leave their job of a fight.
