George and Lennie's relationship is positive because George is putting rules for Lennie, so that he wouldn't do anything dumb while they are at the ranch. Lennie forgets lots of things, he has to say them to himself so that he wouldn't forget. " Good boy, That's swell. You say that over two, three times so you sure won't forget it" (Steinbeck, pg.7). Lennie and Curly's relationship is going negative because Curly doesn't like taller men, so Curly will start picking on them. " Let the big guy talk"(Steinbeck, pg. 25). If Lennie and Curly gets into a fight Curly might win because he's pretty handy and if Lennie wins Curly still wins no matter what because Curly can fire Lennie then George and Lennie have to find a new ranch to stay in. Curly and Curly's wife relationship is positive to Curly because Curly loves his wife but for Curly's wife it's negative because she's always flirts with the guys in the ranch, behind Curly's back.
