I am reading the book " Of Mice and Men". This book is about two grown men named Lennie and George and they take care of each other. But Lennie he is kind of like a kid. He causes George to lose his jobs and Lennie always get's in trouble and George ends up being in the middle of everything that Lennie does. I have this feeling that George wants to leave Lennie but he can't because Lennie is the only person he has to talk to. Lennie and George have dreams that they want to do together. Lennie is a animal person he likes furry things . Like mice and rabbits. But every time Lennie got a mouse he would kill it from squeezing it tight. Lennie states " I'd pet 'em and pretty soon they bit my fingers and I pinched their heads a little and then they was dead--because they were so little." ( Steinbeck, Pg #11)
I believe that George is getting tired of Lennie because when they were getting ready to eat supper George started raising his voice towards Lennie. George tell Lennie "You can't keep a job and you lose me ever' job I get. Jus' keep me shovin' all over the country all the time. An' that ain't the worst. You get in trouble. You do bad things and I got to get out." ( Steinbeck, Pg #12 ) George sounds very annoyed. I don't think he wanted to tell Lennie that. But I think all that anger was just building up inside of him but Lennie just tells George " I got you to after me, and you got me to look after you." (Steinbeck, Pg#15) I think Lennie and George will end up staying together even if they don't want to.
