Ivan Bueso Post #3

A mercy killing is a person or animal that is suffering an incurable disease or condition in which they have the choice to take their life and for animals to be put down. For example, from a person’s perspective they went through that one of their pet ducks was attacked by a stray dog and it was seriously injured and he decided to put down the duck so it would stop his suffering (Koni, Humane for animals and immoral for humans). For example, if a dog gets ran over and it is still living and suffering the owner can decide to put the animal down to stop its suffering. An animal’s life is important because you can share a bond but not as important compared to a humans life. For example, if a person has cancer and they feel that she is suffering she can take her life with a drug to stop her suffering. The way a mercy killing applies to humans is that a human being is much more valuable to a person because of a strong bond and relationship with them. If they are suffering and decide to take their life it is much harder to let that loved one go.

In life I want to be a Veterinarian because I love animals but I have to think about the animal’s condition and if it is bad then I would have to put it down. You can share good times with the animal and create a strong bond. As if I became a doctor and if a person was dying I would work my best to save that person because it's a human being and we need to do our best to save that life.
