I predict that Lennie is going to probably end up crossing
with the boss’s son and he might try to start problems with Lennie. Also that
George might get a dog for Lennie from the ones that slim has so that he won’t
kill another one of them. Another thing is that the Boss’s son might try to get
Lennie in trouble just so that he could get kicked out and George might get mad
just because he is picking on Lennie and George might end up doing something to
the boss’s son. Last is that the boss might get suspicious of why George doesn’t
let Lennie speak and so she will call Lennie to talk to him and he might find
out that Lennie might have a mental disability and will understand why George didn’t
let Lennie talk. These are my predictions for the next chapter and what I think
might happen.
I agree with you, I also think once Lennie is alone Curley is going to go at him sideways just for the fact that Lennie is tall. I actually never thought about George getting Lennie one of those dogs but that's a good idea, it could happen. I think the boss already suspects of George and Lennie, because it says "The boss pointed a playful finger at Lennie, He ain't much of a talker is he?" (Steinbeck, pg 22)
