After the end of the book “Of Mice and Men” I predict that
George is probably going to do what he had described to Lennie. I think that
when he said “If I was alone I could live so easily” meant him telling Lennie
how it would be without him and or if he had never had Lennie to take care of
(Steinbeck, pg 101). If George had never took in Lennie and cared for him his
life would be different, totally different. Now that there is no more Lennie it’s
somewhat of a mystery of what George is actually going to do now that he doesn’t
have Lennie to care for or to look after all the time and worry about getting
in trouble and trying to face the consequences. Either George actually goes off
and does what he’s been telling Lennie or he probably won’t even do that.
