Carmen Galindo Post #4

At the end Of Mice And Men I predict that George will keep doing what he is doing. He will get that little place like he promised Lennie but this time it will only be him and Candy. I predict George will find a stable job now that he doesn't have to worry about Lennie getting them fired. George will always carry in his conscience that he killed Lennie but he didn't do it just because, he did it so Lennie wouldn't suffer if Curly killed him or he got locked up. George will do everything he promised Lennie with Candy as them three had plan. George will accomplish all his goals and everything he had been wanting to do. Its going to take George a while to get over the fact that he killed Lennie but it was for the best, I feel like either way Lennie was going to get killed, George was just being smarter and decided to do it, and have Lennie die in peace.

  1. I agree with you, because I also think George only killed Lennie basically only for his own good. He didn’t want him to suffer no more because even if they didn’t kill him he was still going to suffer. Also I agree that George will always remember killing Lennie because of everything they went to together, and how George always took care of him. I think George will have his life set now that he doesn’t have to worry about anyone.

  2. I agree with you because it doesn't really say it in the book but George loved Lennie like a brother. He knew that if he got the ranch and had a lot of rabbits it would make Lennie really happy. George did what he had to do so Lennie wouldn't had suffer all the pain Curly was going to make him go through. He'll have that awful memory in him forever. It will probably take him forever to forgive himself for what he did. He's a true friend if you thought about it honestly.
