At the end of our book mice and men we figure out that George shoots Lennie , But what we don't know is if George will continue working at the job that he has now or will he go off and start a new life without Lennie . From what I read throughout the story I feel like George is going to actually buy that ranch and tend some rabbits just to keep the memory of Lennie alive , without him actually being there .I Say that because at the end of the book where George was going to shoot Lennie while he was looking the other direction it must have took George a lot to do something like that even though in the end he knew that it was the right thing to do & it had to be done. I also believe that candy might live with George also because even he said he would help pay bills when George gets the ranch/farm . A lot has changed because George no longer has his best friend and now he lives with candy and they tend the rabbits together .
