The character
I choose is George because he went through a lot through out this whole book!
He was always there for Lennie , Even if he did something bad. Lennie would
be the one always causing the trouble, He would always kill little fuzzy
animals. But this time something changed , Lennie killed Curly's Wife.
How do you think George felt when he saw her? George was hurt because he
knew who did it . George would always have these big dreams to do with Lennie.
George and Lennie would always say "Because I got you an'__"
"An' I got you. We got each other, that's what, gives a hoot in hell about
us," Lennie cried in triumph."( Steinbeck 102) Lennie didn't know
what was coming, but George had to do the right thing and let Lennie go. George
gave Lennie a happy ending and then pulled the trigger of Carlson's gun! Shot
Lennie in the back of the head. Carlson asked George " How'd you do
it?" George said " I just done it." ( Steinbeck 104) I think for
now on George would live in pain. George would always say its better to
have somebody , than to be alone!
Your over all reason of "George will live in pain for killing Lennie" is a great idea for predicting what will happen further on in George's future. I agree with your opinion, however be more clear when you are trying to explain your reason. At a moment I got lost on what you were trying to explain with your evidence. But I started to understand once I got to the end. Over all your prediction was good. You did a nice job on citing your evidence as well. Next time just be more organized when your trying to explain.
