Jesus Salas - Post #4
At the end of the book George kills Lennie because he didn't want Lennie to suffer what they would put him through. They would have locked him up and George wouldn't be able to see him again. Instead George gets a gun and kills Lennie. After the other guys come to see George he goes to have a drink with the guys. I think that George and candy might get the house that George and Lennie were talking about because in one part of the story George felt like he was actually working to get the house. Also candy says that he wants to leave since he doesn't have anything else cause his dog was the only thing that he had left.

I like your ending about how George and Candy are still or going back to the original plan of the ranch even if they don't have Lennie be their side. I think that George gets his fifty dollars to support their dream and I do believe that Candy and George would every memories of Lennie in the ranch they have in store. After everything that had just happen they would hope to start over.
