I'm going to pick George because he had it tough throughout the book and at the end he made the decision of killing his friend. I think after the book ends his future is that when he gets back home or back to his job that him and Slim are going to be their for each other because at the end it said "He lead George into the entrance of the trail and up towards the highway (Steinbeck 105)." Also, I think that George will get his money back and maybe find somewhere else to work because he had told Lennie not to mess with nor did he like him himself. But if he doesn't choose to leave I think he would end up like Crooks lives his life just alone and never forget about what him and Lennie had done together bad or good because in the book it said "He looked steadily at his right hand that held the gun (Steinbeck 104)."After all the plans and problems he had with Lennie he wouldn't look back at it and say he made the wrong decision because if Curley was to get him first he was going to die slowly and painfully and also everyone else wanted to kill him to and by giving them the wrong answer on to where to find and then telling him he was never mad at him and putting his mind in a peaceful state was a good or the best choice for him to end.
