I think that George is going to go back to working after this but also be miserable. After a while Candy is going to get sick of it and a tell George that being miserable is not going to help anyone or anything. Candy will say " Lennie will never be in peace if this is how you are going to be the rest of your life". Then Candy would tell him that only getting to Lennie's dream will put him at peace. Once George hears that he begins to try and make the dream with candy. They find out that Crooks wants to also go and help out and is willing to pitch in. That being three people making money they will do what everyone who comes in dreams of. They eventually quit and get the land they wanted. George can now finally be happy instead of miserable. They get the alfalfa and the rabbits. George builds a little grave for Lennie next to the rabbits and finally accomplishes his and Lennie's dream. George becomes a successful farmer and starts hiring other people who come around, he lives a successful life because of Lennie, Candy, and Crooks.
