Odeth Sanchez Post#4
Three months later after Lennie's death, George bought the ranch and has it all nice. He still remembers Lennie and never forgives him self for what he had done. George isn't so happy having to carry that horrible memory of him shooting Lennie just like Carlson shot Candy's dog. He's glad that he got the ranch and did everything he told Lennie. George had treated the rabbits with a lot f love and respect since rabbits are something that reminds him of Lennie. Once in a while he goes down to where he shot Lennie, he stays there for no more than 2 hours, starring at the water with tears in his eyes. He still whispers when he's by the bush, never has he stopped. On page 104 it says, "George's voice was almost a whisper," SteinBeck, 104). George probably does that because he feels like if Lennie is there with him, watching/listening to what he has to say or feel.
