Ivan Bueso Post #4

After the tragic ending of Lennie being killed by George, I think that George will do what he wanted to do is he would get a job and work and have no trouble, at the end of the month come I could take his fifty bucks and go into town and do what he want, and stay in a cat house. He would stay in a hotel and have anything to eat. And get a gallon of whiskey and play cards and he would shoot pool (Steinbeck page 12). These would be all the things that George will do. At the end of the story, Slim told George if "Come on George, me and you go in and get a drink" and he says yes so this can mean that this is a start to he easy life for George (Steinbeck page 104). But I also think that he will do his easy life but he will be sad because in the story he was talking to Lennie so sadly you can tell that he was sad (Steinbeck page 102-103). The main thing is that he won't get the ranch no more because that was Lennie dream and I think that George could live alone on that ranch without Lennie it wouldn't feel right. In the story, George was telling Lennie about the ranch they were going to get in a sad tone (Steinbeck page 102-103). To me, George will continue his life and do the things he wanted to do but he will have the thought that he would never get out of his head about killing Lennie!
