What I think George is going to do is work his month, and then buy the ranch for him and Candy. Most likely Candy and George are going to become best friends, but George will always remember Lennie. Lennie and George were almost brothers they cared and took care of one another. If George and Candy get the farm their probably going to hire some people to work for them. George is probably never going to forget that he killed Lennie, but he knows that he did it for the right reason. He didn't want to know that Lennie would suffer for the rest of his life or a painful death, so he decided to give him a non painful and peaceful death. So buy killing Lennie he basically took care of him because he didn't want him to suffer. George might probably end up killing him self, because he feels guilty of killing Lennie.
