Based on the background of the book "Of Mice And Men" I think the book is going to end by Lennie getting him and George in trouble. The fact that Lennie likes to pet, and feel on things he may find something to pet on. Like the first time they got in trouble in Weed because Lennie was rubbing on a girls dress. “Well, how the hell did she know you just wanted to feel her dress? She jerks back and you hold on like it was a mouse. She yells and we got to hide in irrigation ditch all day with guys looking for us, and we got to sneak out in the dark and get outta the country”(Steinbeck, PG 13) This time I think he's going to get carried away with the rubbing and him and George is going to have to run away again and get in trouble. Then the people that are going after them are going to kill them.
