Jeremiah Butler, Post #1
My prediction for the end of the book is George will die trying to save Linnie life for doing something stupid. I think that because Linnie does a lot of things that are not smart and George always has to take up for him or be responsible for them both. That is my prediction because in the book, on page #12, it talks about the many times Linnie has does dumb things and has got both of them fired or chased by people. Also George is a good brother so he wouldn't let anything bad happen to his brother. For Example on page 13 it says, " Well, how the hell did she know you jus' wanted to feel her dress? she jerks back and you hold on like it was a mouse. She yells and we got to hide in a irrigation ditch all day with guys looking for us." (Steinbeck, Pg. #13).

I never thought of one of them dying for each other, but it could happen, seeing how close they are. George does seem like the responsible one to take the blame for Lennie. And you’re right about George being a big brother to Lennie since he would help him remember the things that he would forget. Even though George gets mad at him for the things he does, he wants Lennie to stay by his side.
