Karina Ordaz post #1

I think the book "Of Mice and Men" will be about George and Lennie finally found a new job to work. As day passes by at their new job, Lennie runs into trouble in his new job. He's always bumping into trouble because like how George says "You get in trouble. You do bad things"(John Steinbeck, page.12). Before they found that new job, at George and Lennie old job, they already had a chaos since Lennie doesn't act like a grown person. He wanted to pet a ladies dress which made all the men think he was feeling up on the women. After the group of men seen what he was doing, they chased Lennie, even George. Whatever bad thing Lennie does, George is involved too. Both of them had to hide in a ditch all day. When it was night time both of them sneaked out got out of the country(John Steinbeck, pg.12,13). There fore Lennie will do something off again and run away from the country so he won't have to bother George. After that happens George will go looking for Lennie where he said he will hide forever "I could go off in the hills there. Some place I'd find a cave"(John Steinbeck, pg.13). When that happens, I think at the end of the book will end with George and Lennie relationship will become even more stronger.
What makes me think that will happen in the story and how it will end is Lennie might realize he has to solve his own problems and can't depend on George for the rest of his life. He will notice George is holding his life back for him and that shouldn't be necessary. Like how George said "If I was alone I could live so easy"(John Steinbeck, pg.12). Also I think George and Lennie relationship will get stronger because they only have each other and actually need each other. They have always been together since Lennie aunt Clara have died. Both of them have big plans for each other by getting a house with a big acres and animals(John Steinbeck,pg.16).

  1. Very Very good. I like your last couple of sentences the most, they ended on a strong note.
