Miguel Medina, Post #1

My thoughts about our book "Of Mice and Men" are it's a really good book at the moment and I feel like I'll really enjoy reading this whole book. I think this whole book will just basically follow George and Lennie as they are migrant farmers, it'll just be them getting or trying to get a job. George takes care of Lennie, I think this is because Lennie has a mental disability. That being said George really faces some troubles taking care of Lennie and himself, being that Lennie forgets many things and can't tell right from wrong. I feel that George is really stressed. That's probably why he got really angry when Lennie mentioned that he likes ketchup on his beans, "Whatever we ain't got, that's all you want. God a'mighty, If I was alone I could live so easy" (Steinback, pg 12). The way I think this book will end is that George and Lennie will eventually live out their dreams of having a house for themselves, a couple acres of land, a cow, some pigs and rabbits. Then again I feel like something bad might happen again, either Lennie gets himself and George in trouble again or something happens to Lennie.

  1. I also feel like I am going to really enjoy this book . I would be really stressed too if I was in his George’s situation. But it is very nice that George takes care of Lennie. I feel the same way as you because I think there might be a really happy ending, but then I have a feeling that tells me that something bad will happen to one or both of them. 😎💯
