At the end of chapter two it is clear that George does not like Curley's wife but Lenny fell into Curley's wife's "spell". As soon as Lenny saw her he automatically drooled over her, George already didn't like Curley's wife when the old man described her to him and Lenny. When George realized Lenny liked her George liked her even less because he new that she would be a problem when it came down to Lenny not getting into trouble.  Curley didn't like the fact that his wife went "looking" for him in the place where George and Lenny where staying.
The fact that Curley wants to fight with Lenny scares both Lenny and George because it leads to Lenny and George loosing there jobs. When George explained to Lenny about Curley wanting to pick a fight with him Lenny admitted that he was terrified. "I don't want no trouble," … "Don't let him sock me, George." (Steinbeck, pg.29). Curley's wife and Curley are both negative influences in Lenny and Georges life.
I think that when we get more into the book that Lenny will become more and more of a problem for George because Lenny has seek'ed interest into Curley's wife, also because Curley is looking to pick a fight with Lenny. When Curley's wife left the room Lenny immediately said to George "She's purty,".
George can also become a problem for Lenny because Curly's wife seeks interest in her and George resents have any relations for her this can also lead to her doing extravagant things leading George to loose his job.
In the end everyone has there own problems and will soon enough combust creating a problem for everyone.

  1. The way you explained how each person can be a negative or a positive influence to each other was really good. I liked how you took a lot of evidence from the book this time. It really made your point stick out. I like the prediction you made of Lennie on how sooner or later in the book will start to like Curly's wife. Which will lead to them having a big chaos again. Your explaining was really good this time and I like everything about it. Everything is well from my point of view.
